Join us this January as we dive into Scat by Carl Hiaasen- a thrilling eco-mystery that brings the wild world of the Florida Everglades to life! When a teacher mysteriously disappears during a field trip, two students find themselves tangled in a web of clues, endangered panthers, and environmental intrigue.
Over the course of four weeks, readers will explore the story’s connections to wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting fragile habitats. We’ll meet twice to discuss the book, share discoveries, and take part in a creative, nature-inspired activity connected to the story’s themes.
Participants should have their own copy of the book and aim to finish it by our second meeting.
