NATURALIST BOOK CLUB: WILDERNESS SURVIVAL SERIES

Join us this autumn for a special three-part Naturalist Book Club series exploring stories of survival, resilience, and life in the wild. Together, we’ll read and discuss three classic wilderness novels while connecting their themes to real-world skills and the natural world around us.
Each book will be explored over two gatherings, giving students time to dive into the story, share ideas, and participate in simple, hands-on activities inspired by the challenges and skills found within each book.
As we read, we’ll explore themes of resilience, independence, and problem-solving, while also learning practical wilderness living skills in an engaging and approachable way.

September — Hatchet
Friday, September 18 & September 25
October — My Side of the Mountain
Friday, October 16 & October 23
November — Island of the Blue Dolphins
Friday, November 13 & November 20
Participants should have their own copy of the book and aim to finish it by our second meeting.

Domestic Shipping Rates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated based on weight and will be displayed at checkout. Orders will be shipped via USPS First Class, USPS Priority Mail, or UPS Ground.
We do not provide estimated delivery timeframes for Armed Forces addresses. Please plan on at least several weeks for delivery.
