Join us for "Nature's Best Hope" Book Club for children in 5th grade and up!

This book club is a collaborative effort between Donna Miller from Petals in the Pines and Allyson Speake from Tanglewood Hollow!

Embark on an exciting journey into the marvels of the natural world through the pages of Doug Tallamy's captivating book, adapted for kids by Sarah L. Thomson. Tallamy not only inspires but empowers kids to make a positive impact on combating the adverse effects of climate change right in their own yards. His skillful approach involves breaking down complex concepts into simple terms and presenting real-world examples that young minds can readily grasp.

Our inaugural meeting, scheduled for February 2nd at 1 pm in the enchanting Tanglewood Hollow, will see us delving into the first 124 pages of this insightful exploration. "Nature's Best Hope" serves as a gateway for young readers into the enthralling realm of biodiversity, shedding light on the significance of native plants and their role in shaping ecosystems.

In our second gathering on February 16th, we'll not only discuss the remainder of the book but also actively participate in a community project—planting native milkweed. Together, we'll explore ways to bring the book's concepts to life, fostering a hands-on connection with nature. This book club is a promise to kindle curiosity and instill a deep love for the environment in our young readers. Seize the chance to connect with fellow nature enthusiasts, and uncover the incredible stories concealed within the pages of this inspiring read!
